Jump rope is such a tough skill to teach- coordination, timing, and perseverance. This “Catch a Cone” activity is life changing!! It breaks up the skill in a fun way. The kids love it and forget they’re working on their jump rope skills 😆

Thank you Ms. Norlin for bringing in an interior designer (Jillian) to teach us about designing inclusive spaces for people with a variety of needs. We used our senses to explore textures and colours while listening to a song!

Our first day drumming with Chantal from Cree8. We learned that the number 4 is a very significant number in many ways. We sang the Chickadee song today and learned that this bird teaches us the lesson of listening to others!

Bucket 🪣 Shooting 🏀 with K-2 #physed (and before you ask, the buckets have been purchased over the years to make 🌈 sets from Farm&Fleet, Tractor Supply Company, Target, Walmart, Amazon…gotta hunt down the colors you want. )

Most kids want to shoot 🏀 but not all can be successful at a high basket, so modifying the activity by using a hula hoop to make the target lower, helps more kids be successful. #physed

Building vocabulary to describe the bad wolf and the three Little Pigs! Thanks to Mr. Foehler, our EAL specialist, for guiding this lesson. "The wolf was scared at the end of the story, but the pigs were also scared when the wolf huffed and puffed!"
