GMS BAND SOLO AND ENSEMBLE CONTEST Seven members signed up to attend the Solo and Ensemble Contest in Pittsburg last week. All seven earned a first division medal on their solos! Congratulations! GO BEARS!!!

WES 2ND GRADE FIELD TRIP Second grade students attended a Cinderella Production last Friday. One second grade reviewer said "I had some happy tears, and sad tears. It was simply beautiful". After the play the students enjoyed lunch and playing at a local park. GO BEARS!!!

It's Teacher Appreciation Week! GISD appreciates our teachers and all that they do for our students! GO BEARS!!

STATE BOUND!!! Regionals winners Kamryn Floyd, MaKayla Police, Kyla Lincoln, and Peyton Hunter will compete in the 4x100 Meter Relay at the state track meet Thursday in Austin. Kamryn Floyd will also compete in the 200 Meter Dash. We are proud of you Ladies! GO BEARS!

Still Celebrating TEACHERS! This year, Mr. Michael Jackson was named the Gladewater Chamber Educator of the Year and Mrs. Erin Beaver and Mrs. Hayley Gonser were named Globe Teachers of the Year! All are great representatives of the wonderful people in our district. GO BEARS!!

Still Celebrating TEACHERS! '22-'23 was the first year of implementation of the TAP System in GISD. Members of each school's Instructional Leadership Team have worked tirelessly to ensure both student and educator growth. We thank and commend you for your efforts! GO BEARS!!

Two-Time Silver Medalist!! For the second year in a row, Kamryn Floyd has brought home the silver medal in the 200 Meter from the 3AAA State Track Meet in Austin. Congratulations! GO BEARS!!
