It was wonderful to meet Dr Rachel Broady and show her around our So We Marched exhibition at Liverpool Central Library and Archives.
Great to hear about her valuable research around epistemic injustice.
Thanks for the kind words Dr Rachel Broady ✊️
The exhibition tells the story of the young people from Merseyside involved in the 1981 'People's March for Jobs'. Brilliant oral history project and crucial to #Liverpool 's more recent history.

Received a brilliant 'private' tour through the Giz a Job exhibition currently at #Liverpool Central Library this afternoon. Our LJMU History final-year student Katie volunteered for the project, conducted oral-history interviews and helped with the exhibition. Brilliant work!
Great to see David Clampin and Dr André Keil.
Katie is a valued member of our volunteer team. She's been attentive throughout, deploying the skills she learned through training to play a key role in the research & dissemination phases.
Katie will make a fine historian!
Catch the Giz a Job exhibition at Liverpool Central Library and Archives until 31 May! Made possible by #NationalLottery players, it brings together the stories and objects from people involved in the 1981 People's March for Jobs.

‘Arise, men of Britain and take your stand! Rally round the standard of Liberty, or forever lay prostrate under the iron hand of your land and money-mongering taskmasters!’
The Tolpuddle Martyrs were convicted of the crime of organising a union #OnThisDay in 1834.
Thanks The National Lottery Heritage Fund North for funding this project about the heritage of Littlewoods. Mum, Nan & I were all employees at one time or another. Its stories of being one of the 1st to promote women certainly rang true. Mum would like a bigger exhibition next time pls.
We had the honour of showing Chris Jones ChrisJones 🇪🇺🇬🇧 around our 'So We Marched' exhibition last week.
As the official March paramedic, the trainee nurse was a key member of the Green Army.
In his interview, he reflected on how his fellow Marchers ignored his medical advice 🤣
This from Preeti Dhillon is excellent and timely.
Black and Asian communities in Britain have a rich and proud tradition of political activism. Our elders fought back against racism — for themselves and those that came after them.
