Can you imagine ‘touching’ the Sun? ☀️ The Parker Solar Probe recently completed the closest flyby of the Sun ever, flying 3.8 million miles above the surface. The spacecraft flew through the corona, which is the upper solar atmosphere, braving temperatures nearly 1,500 degrees

During this week's session, I've learned plenty about mechanical engineering, systems, and how to simulate it using hydraulics. It was amazing getting to learn the science behind these machines. Thanks to Canadian Association for Girls in Science (CAGIS) and Conestoga College for this amazing session and the kit!

What are these giggles about? Making our own fidget spinners! CAGIS London dove into electrical theory and wired their own fidget spinners with a resistor and LED light! Members had a great time exploring design, 3D printing, soldering, and robotics with an electrical technician

Did you know that octopi have three hearts?! 🐙 Two of their hearts, which are called the branchial hearts, pump blood to their gills where the blood picks up oxygen. The third–the systemic heart–pumps the oxygenated blood through the octopus’ body! GirlsInScience.ca/Sources/

We made Newton's Cradles in CAGIS Virtual this weekend! These amazing contraptions demonstrate conservation of energy, conservation of momentum, and friction! As you may know, energy cannot be created or destroyed, BUT it can change forms. When a ball is lifted then released,
