During the weekend my team Abayuuti Climate Action Network and our partners of One million trees campaign Bahandagira Dixon and Girl Potential Care Center together with other Activists we were in Muhokya camp and conducted a facilitation to women and girls in the camp on how to use and make had made pads

This has been our goal since we started working in this camp, to make sure that women and girls of reproductive age who can’t afford monthly cost of disposable sanitary pads can benefit, thanks to our partners for making this come to life.

Often times as health professional and a climate justice activist I get questions of how health and climate change are related and here is a case study! Climate displaced people loose their traditional means of livelihood leaving them poor and unable to afford basic need.
