Back after a month of traveling in Australia. Absolutely love that country and my body did too. Ended up running every single day, sometimes twice per day, a lot with Wilbur in the buggy exploring together.

I am seeing so many texting whilst driving I am too scarred to venture out on my bike, all my training is inside at the moment. On one 5k 100 kph stretch of road in North Canterbury, I counted 75% of people looking down at phones! stuff.co.nz/national/crime…

Great to see some race coverage of the women at the #IM703WC yesterday, and now all the best to my athlete Art Rangel lining up in the men's race today!

Was great to get back out on a race course, a sprint duathlon, was definitely a bit of a shock to the system and a bit different to what I am used to, but such fun. Definitely haven't lost any love for racing!

Very exciting news that the World 70.3 Ironman champs is coming to Taupo in 2020. IRONMAN in NZ hosts the best races, will be a superb World Champs!

Have loved following all the action from Kona this week, and can not wait for the race action tomorrow. All the very best to my 2 athletes Shannon Lum and Brendon Vesty who have worked so hard over the winter to be fit and ready for the start line!

So proud with how both my athletes raced at IM Hawaii. Such a grueling race different to any other Ironman, everyone will have obstacles to overcome, the biggest of which is your own mind and both showed the class of athletes they are. Well done Brendon and Shannon!

Looks like I will be a reluctant starter of an Ironman in March. Was happily training for the half, and now it is sold out!! Let's hope this weather in NZ improves as I will have some work to do on the bike this summer!

So much excitement and joy to follow my athlete Shannon Lum at #IMOZ today. 4th place in 45-49 in sub 10 hr and finished with a 3 hr 30 marathon!

Nothing better as a coach in seeing an athlete work so hard for months, then execute a superb race and realise that dream of a slot to Kona!!

I'm not complaining that my son thinks I'm 29 years old! Pretty cool to get this when I picked him up from school today.
