We’re dismayed by the FA’s decision to abolish FA Cup replays from First Round Proper onwards from next season.

Sadly, we’re not surprised to see ‘the magic of the FA Cup’ cast aside to satisfy the demands of the richest clubs in the country.

Here’s my FA Cup solution:

We amend the Football Governance Bill, which is in the Commons on Tuesday, to require that any domestic cup competition can only be changed with a majority vote of all clubs eligible to enter it.
