There are so many things wrong with this. So many. I get tired, y’all.

Trump’s war on Black people and Black history continues with little to no push back. When Black people begged you to vote, this is want we were trying to prevent.

It is legal to protest the government. People are allowed to protest the government.

This is the Attorney General of the United States threatening to jail any business owner that doesn’t let people print Charlie Kirk posters and telling businesses they have an “obligation” to fire any employee who “says horrible things.” We are through the looking glass.

This is nuts.

ICE captured Dr. Ian Roberts, an educator, Olympian, & Superintendent with 20 years of service from Guyana. This is yet another example of Secretary Noem's & President Trump's priorities. It was never about "criminals" or "locking up the worst of the worst." Just terror.

Black folks got released after being detained for hours after the Immigration Raid to medicine being poured out, food being thrown out and apartments completely torn up… No they were not deported, just unlawfully detained and had their property destroyed. 🤷🏾‍♂️

NEW: WIRED reports that the Trump admin is planning on building a mass social media surveillance team at ICE, which will be trawling through social media to find people to arrest and deport.

The way forward

Rep. Jayapal is correct -- it is not a crime to be undocumented. Here's the Supreme Court saying as much. Plus, less than 10% of the undocumented population has a removal order, and would only be chargeable if they had willfully disobeyed it, and many don't know they have one.

Unfortunately, last night’s election results gave me a glimmer of hope.

As the motives for this heinous crime remain under investigation, we caution against scapegoating or vilification of immigrant communities and underscore the need for unity rejecting all forms of violence.
