I'm deeply saddened by the passing of 🇺🇦 journalist Olha Priadko. Her dedication to journalism & her time with the "Journalists in Residence" program, co-funded by the 🇩🇪 Hannah-Arendt-Initiative, will be remembered. Our thoughts are with her son, her family & fellow journalists.

🇩🇪 is proud to chair the UN Peacebuilding Commission this year. PBC addresses root causes of conflict, improves preventive action and builds resilience. 🇽🇰 is a direct beneficiary of PBC's work and a good example of how international efforts transform into concrete actions.

Sad to learn about the passing of former 🇩🇪 President Horst Köhler, who was in charge when 🇽🇰 gained independence. His leadership and dedication to Germany and the international community will be remembered.

🌍 Democracy thrives on the rule of law and an independent judiciary. Met with Albert Zogaj today, Chair of the Kosovo Judicial Council, to discuss Kosovo's judiciary and ongoing reforms. Germany continues to stand by Kosovo to ensure a judiciary free from interference. 🇩🇪🤝🇽🇰

Great to join students from Pristina & Novi Pazar in the RYCO Western Balkans Superschool Program🍴 With their background in food & agriculture, it was a pleasure to cook together + learn some new skills from them. Not a pro chef myself, but the energy in the kitchen was amazing! 🇩🇪🤝🇽🇰

Productive meeting with Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo Governor Ismaili and his Deputy. Discussed financial sector reforms, stability, SEPA, TIPS, and more. Germany remains committed to supporting Kosovo's financial sector and enhancing cooperation with German regulators. 🇩🇪🤝🇽🇰

In recent days, I met with heads of political parties running for the upcoming Kosovar elections. Democratic elections and the plurality of parties are key for our democracies. Germany will continue its close partnership with any future Kosovar government. 🇩🇪🤝🇽🇰
