Elizabeth Peratrovich played a key role in the passing of the Anti-Discrimination Act of 1945, which made AK the 1st state to ban discrimination based on race. 2/16 is Elizabeth Peratrovich Day in AK to honor her advocacy and landmark civil rights work. #akleg

Hey Anchorage, let’s not forget the $2.4 million settlement for the sprung structure situation led to zero housing or sheltering. Now we’re on track to house 150 people by the end of April for a little more than $4 million.

Strengthening legal protections for transit workers is a positive step in a multi pronged strategy for improving our public transit system. Let’s take care of those that take care of us! More to come! #frontlinecivilservants
