So pleased to share our new paper in which Geoff Howe engineered an autonucleolytic HEK293F cell line, NuPro-1S, effecting a 60% reduction in high MW DNA impurities and, unexpectedly, increased vg / mL productivity for AAV5 and AAV9 #EngBio #genetherapy cell.com/molecular-ther…

Published today in nature, we describe an approach for single-molecule protein reading on Oxford Nanopore arrays. By utilizing ClpX unfoldase to ratchet proteins through a CsgG nanopore, we achieved single-amino-acid sensitivity. nature.com/articles/s4158…

CRISPR just scored its biggest win yet against Huntington's. The secret? A delivery system called RIDE that sneaks into neurons, makes its edit, then vanishes in 72 hours. Here's what happened 🧵👇

This is a major success story in today's Science ALSP is a rare genetic condition – life expectancy is about 8 years after symptoms start, and there's no cure But a bone marrow transplant – in 8 patients – halted disease progression, maintained cognition and ability to walk

In @NatRevGenet we outline strategies for in vivo pooled (single cell) CRISPR screens for genotype → phenotype mapping in animal models. This contains over a decade of hard earned knowledge by us and the field. Kudos to Antonio Santinha & Alessio Strano. rdcu.be/eykft

Vroomm!! Postdoc extraordinaire Geoff Howe has used our "T.gonfio" arrayed CRISPRa library to test ALL human GPCRs (of which there are ~860) for cAMP responses to the prion protein, and found many surprising hits. I could tell you their names, but then I'd have to kill you.
