During time spent at my own home my Crape Myrtle seemed to pose for a snapshot. Isn’t she just perfect? I had to bid her adieu while watching in my rear view mirror. With one lone tear, she was left for neighbors to enjoy. Smile for the memories of yesterday while living today.

A Sunday morning sort of feeling gathers around my yard enough that I feel the calmness of it.

30 August, 1942 | The little Jewish girl Aline Korenbajzer (born on August 31, 1939 in Paris) is murdered at Auschwitz II-Birkenau. She was taken to a gas chamber right after her arrival in the camp on convoy 25, together with her mother, Lily, one day before her 3rd birthday.

"This beautiful sculpture was built by the Irish people in their own country to honor the American Choctaw Indian tribe. They were grateful because in 1847 the Choctaw people sent money to Ireland when they learned that Irish people were starving due to the potato famine.

Nature is amazing. Things grow where we never expect. I’m filling this root with soil and planting daffodils this fall. Sending peaceful Sunday smiles upward and outward. Hope one sails toward you.
