Today, I am directing every state to prioritize educators for vaccination. We want every educator, school staff member, and child-care worker to receive at least one shot by the end of this month. It’s time to treat in-person learning like the essential service that it is.

I don’t think adding more lessons to the school day is the right thing for student wellbeing or teacher wellbeing. And research suggests it’s not the right thing to improve learning either. I’ll keep saying it to anyone who will listen! schoolsweek.co.uk/three-better-i…

Any new teachers being given the “Don’t smile until Xmas” mantra & the “Give them an inch and they’ll take a mile” warnings, please ignore all of that! You can 100% get students’ respect by being kind, warm & positive. Happy, trusted students will work with you, not against.

I read an article on improving classroom air quality to reduce Covid spread. It suggested Co2 monitors, ozone disinfecting machines, UV cleaning... most are expensive & complicated. How about instead of just getting more fresh air INSIDE we try getting more children OUTSIDE?
