I’m at North Mid NHS Trust with a neighbour who has not urinated for more than 24 hours, has a high temperature and looks like he has a severe urine infection. He can’t walk and is barely able to speak. Getting anyone to see him has been VERY difficult.

And it begins again. This never-ending loop of ugly legal action, women forced to bring out their trauma AGAIN, the pursuit of justice vs. a predator's desperate attempt to save his reputation. Some men will stop at nothing, as I wrote in ✍️

UPDATE

Thank you everyone for the support.

TfL have contacted me. My experience is not aligned to their safeguarding policy and an investigation is underway

They'll be back in touch in due course.

I look forward to an explanation and assurance that it won't happen again

The over 60% increase in reports of honour-based abuse in two years is concerning.

We know from experience that HBA is routinely missed or dismissed by agencies. There is an urgent need for HBA to be explicitly recognised in the sentencing framework. 1/2

Through our campaign for Banaz’s Law, advocated for with Banaz’s sister Bekhal, we urge the govt to recognise the use of honour as an aggravating factor in sentencing.

Govt must also train the police on identifying and responding to HBA in consultation with specialist orgs. 2/2
