Almost two weeks Institut Laue-Langevin are over. In addition to interesting results from ThALES and IN5, I finally got to see the ILL from Néron. Thanks to great instrument scientists on both spectrometers, the sample environment team and my collaborators for the successful beamtimes!

Congratulations to Laure for finishing a successful internship at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut ! She will soon be on her way back to Paris, but we will keep discussing the exciting results she obtained on uniaxial tuning of superconductors. Look out for upcoming reports!

The visit to the Institute of Minerology @IMPMC_Lab in Sorbonne was mainly to test new high-pressure equipment, but as a bonus we got to visit the crystal museum, which among other things, hosts a bunch of quantum magnets.

It was a pleasure to be a small part of the #ScientistDemystified project. A great initiative from Ana Akrap and team to introduce young people to science.

Very happy to see this beautiful paper out on the Heisenberg honeycomb system YbCl3! A great team and a lot of fun doing experiments and discussing. It was a pleasure to contribute a small piece to this work with measurements on CAMEA at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut . nature.com/articles/s4200…

The talks have been scheduled for the high-pressure workshop at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut ! Looking forward to an exciting day! Meanwhile, the abstract submission for posters is open for another 10 days - still some time to join! indico.psi.ch/event/14248/ti…

This year SPS meeting is held together with the ÖPG, which means a broader range of talks and speakers. This was especially good in the cuprate session, which generated lively discussions. It was a pleasure to open the session by presenting our recent uniaxial studies.

It was a pleasure giving a lecture at the Nordic neutron school, meeting the students and discussing about inelastic scattering yesterday at the LINXS headquarters. Remarkably, even the floor of the hotel had a hint for one of the quiz problems about reciprocal lattices!

Thanks to organizers of ICANS for an interesting week on how to produce and handle neutrons. To say the least, I am even more grateful for every neutron we get to point to our favorite materials. It was also a pleasure to share some of our recent high pressure work at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut

It was fabulous to visit the beautiful campus of The Chinese University of Hong Kong - CUHK and present our recent uniaxial pressure developments at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut. Thanks a lot to my friend and colleague Qisi Wang for fantastic hosting and excellent discussions.

From theoretical insights to technical implementations - the high pressure workshop yesterday at PSI Paul Scherrer Institut showcased a strong community working on a range of important problems using extreme conditions. Big thanks to all the presenters and attendees for a fantastic atmosphere.

With the year drawing to a close, one of the most memorable neutron experiments was meant to be 4-days, but in the end the beam was on only for one. Nevertheless we had a great team that pulled it off and first results already contributed to a paper: arxiv.org/abs/2312.03650

Two ladders instead of one - that was the conclusion when we re-examined a metal-organic quantum magnet Cu-CPA. Have a look at our recent preprint for more: arxiv.org/abs/2404.08274
