Musée de Pont-Aven preempted the Emile Bernard‘s Self-Portrait (1897) with the participation of the Friends of the Museum and the Ministère de la Culture 🇫🇷
Artist, poet and author- Bernard arrived in Pont-Aven in 1886. This work dates to his time spent in #Spain .
Did you know that artist Theodore Rousseau campaigned to protect the forest of #Fontainebleau ?

Céline's “Le manuscrit de Mort à crédit”
The French National Library Bibliothèque BnF acquired the manuscript by dation (payment for inheritance tax). It is the earliest known version of the text - a mature work by Céline- and the only one available to researchers in France.
