The UK response is utterly shameful and suggests a hierarchy of humanity. Palestinians are fleeing a genocide - one which the UK continues to arm. The UK must urgently establish a resettlement scheme for Palestinians, as done for Afghans and Ukrainians. Consistency is paramount.

"The rhetoric from the Prime Minister is really sickening. [Enabling] families in Gaza to be reunited with their families in the UK is the bare minimum" Our member Ghassan responded to the Govt's plan to close the "loophole" that allowed one Palestinian family to reunite on LBC

"This decision should have been a catalyst for action, prompting the UK to introduce a Gaza family reunification scheme. Instead, the govt seeks to shut down any possibility of reuniting in safety, fuelling anti-Palestinian sentiment and legitimising further inhumane policies.”

"Family unity is an undeniable human right – not a threat to be managed – & denying reunification only deepens the cycle of trauma & suffering for Palestinians who already bear the brunt of systemic oppression & displacement" Our op-ed in The National 👇 thenational.scot/politics/24937…

"What we are asking for is simple; a family reunification scheme for Palestinians, just like what was done for Ukraine." "To frame this as a loophole is outrageous. It’s not a loophole—it’s a basic human right." Our member Ghassan in The New Arab 👇 newarab.com/news/starmer-a…
