Agree with Gary Neville there. That’s why we should do away with VAR. Nobody’s complaining if that goal’s given as the referee saw it in real time. Common sense should prevail there surely?

The game is about goals. It feels like VAR is there to chalk off as many goals as it can. I get the ‘They’re the rules’ brigade, but surely there’s a line? Offside’s by a toenail, that Cherki goal today and a 5 minute wait for the privilege (with no replays if you’re there!)
