Today we remember September 11, 2001. Today I also remember my friend, Capt. Michael P. LaForte, USMC (far left)(standing next to me in 1984 when we were Lt.s) who died on his 39th birthday that day on the 105th floor of the North Tower.

After three days of driving across country to start bow hunting elk in NW Montana, I had to stop at “Custer’s Last Stand.” Many brave men died here - on both sides. Lt.Col. Custer’s marker is the black one to the right of me.
