I’m still blown away by this. Feeling very grateful. “There is craftsmanship that Tobler brings here, and it should serve as an inspiration for making the most of what is given to you as an independent filmmaker.” - Alan Ng Alan Ng @ Film Threat Film Threat Catch our next screening CAAM

Crushed to just be reading about the passing of Michael Gambon. A tremendous actor, and one of the men whose work on screen shepherded me through my childhood. Also a feature in one of my all-time favourite behind the scenes clips, which I’ll add here! Rest easy 🤍

I liked Dune I. I LOVED Dune II. Such an incredible theater going experience. Masterfully crafted by Denis Villeneuve. Loved seeing Greig Fraser's fingerprints all over this film. Go see it!!

"God, I love cinema. I wish I could add more films I love.. like “Children of Men” (2006), “Inception” (2010) or “Amores Perros” (2001). When I started making movies, the previous generation of filmmakers said cinema was dead. Well… long live cinema!" --- Denis Villeneuve

Fantastic read. Greig Fraser and the rest of the crew's work in Dune 2 is just remarkable. Can't wait to see it in the theaters again.

This is the best reading of a line in all the history of the entire human civilization. Perhaps even the known universe. 🤌🤌

This is how to use cutting edge tech to make the most efficient use of our time on set. I can't wait till this becomes common practice in pre-pro. Especially when you can scan real shooting locations or sets virtually designed at shooting scale.

This ad is (unintentional) perfect metaphor for today's creative dark age: compress organic instruments, joyful/imperfect machines, tangible art, our entire physical reality into a soulless, postmodern, read-only device a multi-trillion $ corporation controls what you do with

I had no idea that "Her" and "Lost In Translation" were clapbacks by the directors to each other after their divorce and now I need to watch both.
