Blowy but dry in Port of Dover today where I saw the port in action and officially opened the brand-new marina - a thriving new hub for the city, right on the waterfront. It was great to also meet the fabulous charity Geoff Holt MBE who work to ensure everyone can access the water.

As an island nation, maritime is integral to growing the UK’s economy. A pleasure to attend #SingaporeMaritimeWeek & #SeaAsia2023, working with international partners to do this in a cleaner, greener way. Great discussions too with PSA Singapore MPA Singapore and many others.

A great visit to Poole for our Maritime Resilience team for an away day RNLI HQ and college. Very inspiring and interesting to hear about their issues and challenges for this critical service who save so many lives.

On my return from Poole, I left to go straight on the school run and spent 1 HOUR to do 7 miles just to get through the Dartford Tunnel. If ever there was a convincing case for the LTC, yesterday I was fully behind it!
