All children took part in a fun-filled day of activities today as part of our Health Week! Now for a rest before our Sports day tomorrow 😎🌞

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our open afternoon! Our children are looking forward to showing off their school and selling their goods. See you all soon.

This term, our P7s and P6s had the chance to campaign for the role of Captain or Vice Captain to represent their House in the wider school. It was a tough competition with many worthy candidates. Well done to all who took part and congratulations to our elected officials!

Well done to Feorlin House who collected the most points this term for demonstrating our school values. Everyone was treated to hot chocolate and cookies in our library. Yum!

Our children have been working very hard all term to win house points for showing our school values. The winning house this term was... Feorlin! They celebrated with some Christmas movies and popcorn 🥳 Well done Feorlin!

We are delighted to announce that Garelochhead PS has been awarded Bronze: Rights Committed for the Rights Respecting Schools Award. The Steering Group loved sharing the news with everyone at our celebratory assembly today! Next stop: Silver! 🥳😃 #RRSA

On World Children's Day, we gave pupils the chance to lead their learning by becoming mini-teachers! Across all of our classes, pupils took the lead and taught their peers. We had lessons on flags, cities, the RSPCA, how to crochet and much more! #UNCRC

Our January Right of the Month is Article 29, Aims of Education: I have the right to an education which develops my personality, talents and abilities. All pupils will be learning more and taking part in activities to do with this article throughout the month. #UNCRC

We are delighted to announce that Garelochhead PS have been accredited as a Silver - Rights Aware school. The assessors spoke to various pupils, staff and parents last week and were very impressed with all the work we have done as a school. Well done everyone!🥳

Some of our P7 pupils were in Arrochar this week, presenting their art work and poetry. The class were chosen as finalists out of 90 entries with their artwork showcasing the terrible impact that litter has on sea-life. Well done P7! 🌟🌎
