Next walk…. 🗺️ Dublin City Social Walk 🗓️ Saturday, 24th May 🛑 Stop alert: Arbour Hill Church 🪦 Historically & socially of significance, as the final resting place of the leaders of the Easter Rising, including the seven signatories of the Proclamation of Independence.

A spot we have often visited and a story we have often shared … we are saddened to hear this news and encourage any members who have walked the area recently to report anything unusual they have noticed. We need to protect our hilltops, our shared stories/history and heritage

We fairly got the steps up on yesterday’s walk… a trail through the capital, starting in the “Phoenix Park” and ending in the “Cobblestones”, Smithfield with the United Irishmen to the Asgard and everything in between, a real walk through the history of Ireland.🇮🇪

🗓️ Next walk: Sunday, 31st August 🧭 Location: The Cooleys, Ravensdale We are staying local this Sunday, and heading to Ravensdale Park, climbing to Ben Rock 410m and Clermont Cairn otherwise know as Carnán Mhaighréid Náir, “cairn of Margaret”.

Members past and present join us as we remember John. John was our host at The Gap from our first walk in Jan. 2011. He always had a smile and a warm welcome for weary walkers returning from the hills. This is a family event and all are welcome to walk+stay for the evening.
