Second Saturday every month (that I'm in town) I am a volunteer paleontologist at Fort Negley teaching visitors about Nashville's geological history and searching for fossils in the limestone. Seeing people of all ages get excited about science is rejuvenating!

Our high school intern for this past year graduated last night. We are so proud of him and will miss him. Thank you to Jen Fuhr my lab manager for being such an awesome mentor!!

So excited for my former graduate student Kathryn who just got engaged! It was great to catch up with her at lunch today. She has a hugely successful career in science writing. I am so proud of her!
