Rhododendrons are in full bloom in Bhutan and that means it’s time for the Rhododendron Festival. This 3-day festival is a great addition to the itinerary of the guests we welcome in April each year.

After a couple of months off for winter break, plus some added time due to lockdowns, the children of Gangtey Valley returned for their first day of school today and, if you ask us, we think they look pretty excited! 🎒✏️

Each year in Gangtey Valley, April brings with it an abundance of rhododendron flowers in bloom. Throughout this month our team have been out along the hillside of Gangtey to handpick these stunning flowers and dry them out to use in the hot stone baths at the lodge.
