If you find yourself in the unenviable role of explaining to pea-brained LOTR and GOT 'fans' why casting non-white actors in the latest iterations of these fantasy sagas isn't 'woke,' please turn to the wonderful examples of Billy Dee Williams and Nichelle Nichols for precedent.

One of my favorite things about The Bear is its utter lack of investment in any romantic story lines. So refreshing to see a protagonist simply existing and struggling without the crutch of an arbitrary 'love interest' subplot. His story is enough.

The fact that today's 'ruling' is seen by many as an 'attack on women' (which it is) and not an attack on a basic human (men, this means you too) right to decide when/if to become a parent... is why we are here today. Truly tragic. Forced parenthood literally benefits no one.
