The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, and HRH The late Duke of Edinburgh jointly presented Gold Awards at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, marking the 21st anniversary of Gaisce - The President's Award and the 50th anniversary of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

The girls got the opportunity to canoe, create sails, set up their tents, chop firewood, build a campfire, prepare,& cook meals & play games (in the mud!).
