There wasn’t much sympathy from the men in Ireland for the female boxers who were forced to compete against men in Olympics Female Boxing. Notable was Matt Cooper and Leo Varadkar Thankfully there were better men who campaigned for fairness & safety in women’s sports.

At last year's annual congress, the GAA expressed its hope that Gaelic football, hurling and camogie would one day become Olympic sports. It's time for Gaelic Games to get its house in order and restore fairness to Ladies Football.

And true leadership is having the courage & resolve to tell those who would sacrifice women's right to fair and safe sport in order to validate males, 'No. This is not fair; we must find a better way.' #FairPlayForFemaleGaels

GaelsForFairPlay Ladies Football Yes, Ladies Football can no longer ignore the physical evidence and also the actions of si many major international sporting bodies moving to protect women's sports. Time to listen to science and women not trans activists pushing for unfair rules.

On the forthcoming IOC policy and 'grass roots' sport. I expect that the IOC policy will *not* say 'fairness is important at elite level, but at grass roots we must be inclusive'. But *neither* will it say 'woman and girls deserve fairness at all levels of sport' Rather, it

"It is time for Irish sporting bodies like the LGFA to revise their policies in line with international best practice and do the right thing for women and girls. What are they waiting for?”  Well said, Sorcha Nic Lochlainn of The Countess 👏 👏 👏 derrynow.com/news/local-new…

I was delighted to see this piece in the Irish Sunday Indo sports section, about the IOC returning to sanity on sex testing, with some quite lengthy quotes from my book. It's been bizarre to have been almost completely ignored by my home country's press independent.ie/sport/tommy-co…

"Unable to make the scientific argument, they had to turn it into a form of ideological terror." Though Tommy Conlon doesn't directly refer to Ladies Football in this article, this phrase struck a chord with us, because it is in this climate of fear that LGFA management not only

Last year, we received a letter from a solicitor acting on behalf of the LGFA that included the following: "Please be advised that our client is not under any circumstances going to take steps to amend or replace the policy despite your request for it to do so." Ladies Football

GaelsForFairPlay The Countess Ladies Football This doesn’t reflect the experience on the ground. Every club chair, mentor, coach, player & parent I’ve spoken to only became aware of the trans policy vote after it had taken place. From their perspective, meaningful consultation did not occur.

The most unforgiveable thing about the LGFA's policy of male inclusion is that it has led to a safeguarding blackspot where women & young girls are being exposed to physical & social injury but the fear of being branded a 'bigot' prevents coaches & parents from speaking up.

A line from the report: "LGBTQI+ specific clubs become crucial in ensuring trans people have a means of accessing football spaces that will accept them and enable them to play in line with their gender identity. " The thing is, Bohemian Football Club, the inclusion of males who identify as

Great interview with Sorcha Nic Lochlainn on the irrationally of Ladies Football persisting with a policy of male inclusion while the rest of the sporting world is taking steps to protect female sport. As she points out, it's time for Gaelic Games to 'get its ship in order'.

Squinter No Stairway Naomi Long MLA What do you reckon, Naomi? There's just no start to this man's ability to view small women as deadly sincere, well-intentioned and informed as you on the serious business of the material reality of sex. You should see what he says when you pretend not to see him say it.
