The lead at the top of the Waterford SHC Roll of Honour is now at 11 - for the first time since 1980. Ballygunner are the sixth ever hurling side to win 12+ senior titles in a row.

Leitrim Gaels have become the first new county SFC winners so far this year. They are the first new champion team in the county since 2005. Only 2012 and 2023 have not had new SFC winners across the 32 counties.

I may not have all the finals in yet, but from my records so far, 3/13 SF champions have defended their title (23%). So far, it's the lowest defence rate since 2021 (21%).

St Johns have won their first Antrim SHC in 52 years, setting a new record in the county for gaps between wins. The previous record in the county was 35 years (Mitchels, 1912-1947).

With 10 county SHC finals left to be decided, only four Roll of Honour table toppers, so far, have won this year's titles. If it stays at four, it would be the lowest since 1966 (also 4).
