I've heard more about a couple living in California in two days than I have about the cancer diagnosis crisis in twelve months. We know tens of thousands have cancer and don't know it due to the disruptions. Where are the headlines? Where is the outrage for them?

Those who left this mess yesterday should come back today and clear it up.

My 86 year old dad had a lucky escape this weekend. Dining outdoors at a restaurant he went over to say goodbye to friends at another table. Fortunately the manager was on hand to ban him for life before anyone died.

Rich countries banning travel from South Africa should be ashamed of themselves. It's against WHO advice. It won't protect them against the new variant. But it will have catastrophic consequences for South African tourism, causing bankruptcies, job losses, poverty and suicides.

I am in a rage. SA has world class skills to sequence new virus mutations due to our AIDS research. Our transparency is rewarded with an attack on our economy. The mutation might have originated in the EU for all we know. We merely found it, not originated it. Political lunacy.
