Regardless of what really causes or the best way to treat back pain, patient perception will ALWAYS be a big issue. A superb piece of qualitative research here. Patients believe that heat/cold (86, 66%), medication (84, 64.1%), and rest (78, 60%) are the best thing to treat LBP
