Members of the choir once again joined @gabrielicandp for their residential and performance @ely_cathedral which this year was the magnificent Verdi’s Requiem. The boys had an amazing time as always and are already looking forward to next year.

It was lovely to welcome James. Adrian, our bass trombonist, I taught years back in Leicestershire. Mhairi and I taught kids in workshops in rural Northumberland in the late 90s. We can all pass this great legacy on!! ❤️

A week since this moment when - after 6 days of training the chorus, assisting the Maestro, & leading the vocal faculty with Emily Dickens - I stepped back into the consort to take my place amongst the tenors for the culmination of another incredible Gabrieli ROAR project.

Such a pleasure and privilege to be able to attend, (with my DRET Music Musician in Residence hat on) with 21 teenage singers. They loved it, (so did I...). Still buzzing from the Dies Irae! Thank you Gabrieli Paul McCreesh Emily Dickens Charles Béquignon-MacDougall & the whole team, what a week!
