Nearly 10% of the world's population today is experiencing hunger. I'm calling on Dept. of Agriculture to invest in alternative proteins research to improve the sustainability and resiliency of our food systems and help put us on the path to ending hunger around the globe.

The UK government says it’s now “considering very carefully” the use of cages and crates on UK factory farms. 94% of Brits disapprove of confining hens in tight cages. 96% disapprove of confining pigs in crates. How much more is there to consider before we stop this cruelty?

Some members of the Trump admin are trying to FORCE this cruel practice back onto states that voted to ban it. Please contact your senator and tell them to vote AGAINST the evil “Food Security and Farm Protection Act”

Thousands of family farms support basic humane standards for farm animals, just as two-thirds of all Americans do. But House Committee on Agriculture silenced their voices at today’s hearing. Not on my watch. That’s why, when Republicans invited Big Ag lobbyists to argue for putting animals back

Sincere thanks, Rep. Jim McGovern, for your powerful voice on this issue. You and the majority of Americans you're speaking for are on the right side of history.

Was not surprised to see this TED talk by Lewis Bollard get a standing ovation. Masterful use of storytelling, reason, and (not overly graphic) imagery to make a compelling, nonjudgmental call to action and reflection about factory farming. A must-watch and must-share video.
