Studying the effects of saltwater intrusion with the #Salbia team in the Gambia River🇬🇲, a thread 🧵 1. It was a real privilege to join the #Salbia team in The Gambia to deploy some Open Acoustic Devices HydroMoths alongside their comprehensive sampling campaign (see below 4 more )

Congratulations to Harry Layfield on successfully passing his #PhD VIVA! Read more about Harry's research below and thanks to all his supervisors as well 🎓🎓

A very positive meeting with Atlantic Salmon Trust visiting some of our westcountry rivers on Monday. Rapid action required to halt what has been a particularly rapid decline locally but buckets of enthusiasm from all involved to see these fish thrive once again.

We'rer seeing many of our FRESH students completing their VIVA's after years of hard work and research at the moment. From University of Bristol we congratulate Dr Victoria Hussey on passing her viva, well done Victoria!👏📷 👏

Another of our FRESH students to successfully pass their viva was Costanza Zanghí whose research looked at combined effects of multiple environmental stressors on predator-prey interactions in freshwater habitats. Well done Costanza! 👏👏

Congratulations to our latest FRESH student Hebe Carmichael for passing her viva! Well done on completing your PhD journey Hebe! 🎓

The moment I dropped a file into a folder. PhD thesis submitted. I've got a few paper corrections to make, but hopefully we can then share our contribution to how reintroducing beavers is good for water quality. 🦫ExeterGeography GW4 Fresh CDT National Trust University of Bristol

Congratulations to our latest GW4 Fresh CDT student, Katharine Moss, for successfully defending her PhD thesis yesterday on 'Understanding The Ecological Impact Of Sewage Effluent On Freshwater Environments', jointly supervised by @UKCEH OGU Bristol and geogbristol 🎉
