Happy #BlackHistoryMonth ! The Office of the Ombudsperson invites you to honor influential agents of change as we reflect this month. In thinking about conflict, consider how it to can be a catalyst for positive shifts.

#BlackHistoryMonth This week The OOO is honoring Nelson Mandela. In conflict management, we say that the golden rule may be to treat others as we want to be treated; yet the diamond rule is to treat others the way they want to be treated.

Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was honored with a noble peace prize in 2011 for her efforts in women's rights and safety in Libera. This #BlackHistoryMonth, Sirleaf's words encourage us to seek courage through our fears.

GSU’s own Director of the Ombuds Office, Dr. Birthe Reimers, traveled to Washington, D.C. last week to accept the Association for Conflict Resolution’s William J. Kreidler Award for Distinguished Service to expanding knowledge in the field of Conflict Resolution. #OmbudsDay2023
