Today our young people stepped out of their comfort zones & into tasting unusual foods. Gorse flower ice cream to knotweed & apple crumble & a cup of nettle tea. Exploring new tastes helps build confidence & is a reminder that growth begins when we try something new.

We were honoured to welcome former professional boxer Kash Farooq to campus! 🙌 Kash shared his inspiring journey & led a brilliant session showing our young people how fitness & boxing can support not only physical health, but mental strength, resilience, and confidence.🌈

Our young people have been enjoying some well-deserved pamper sessions, Each house received a little bundle of relaxation to support wellbeing, self-care, & quiet moments of calm. It’s about creating safe, nurturing spaces where young people can unwind & feel cared for. 🌸🌈

Our young people took part in a jam-packed Fun Day, with snooker & chess tournaments, learning how to be brilliant baristas, & topping it all off with homemade ice cream sundaes. Huge well done to everyone who joined in. #ThisIsMyCommunity #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek

We’re celebrating British Sandwich Week in the most delicious way by spotlighting a favourite sandwich. First up: a sweet and gooey creation that’s become a top pick the Marshmallow & Nutella Toasted Sandwich. What’s your favourite sandwich combo?🌈

Today’s standout sandwich comes with a fresh twist: sardines, cucumber, tomato, mayo, & basil. It’s a bold choice from one of our young people — full of protein, crunch, and garden-fresh goodness. A brilliant example of how food can be creative, nutritious, and fun to make. 🌈

Today’s sandwich spotlight comes from our very own PE teacher, Anouska. Her favourite combo? Chicken, avocado, beetroot, and onion, a powerhouse of flavour and nutrition! It’s colourful, wholesome, and packed with goodness — just like Anouska's PE sessions! 🌈

We’re wrapping up British Sandwich Week with a sweet classic loved by one of our young people: the Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich! 💛 It’s simple, satisfying, & full of energy. This combo is a reminder that food can be fun, comforting, and personal. 🌈

After 19 years of service, our old walk-in cooler and freezer have officially retired! We’re thrilled to welcome a brand-new setup that’s bigger, better & much cooler. It may be all metal & chill, but it’s full of heart. Here’s to full bellies, warm smiles, & more ice creams.

Every detail has been carefully thought through & painted with love, a vibrant, creative tribute from someone who has clearly found inspiration, care, and connection in their carer. And it’s a symbol of the trust and respect that grows when relationships are built with kindness.

Happy Pride Month, our Centre proudly celebrates & supports our incredible LGBT+ staff & young people. Across the Centre, we’ll be celebrating Pride with colour, creativity, conversation, & care, because everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, & safe just as they are. 🌈🏳️‍🌈

All of our classrooms are now equipped with interactive blackboards! These boards are powerful tools that enhance teaching and learning by: ✅ Encouraging collaboration ✅ Boosting student engagement ✅ Providing access to online resources & interactive educational software. 🌈

Our young people are growing fresh tomatoes using hydroponics, a soil-free method that allows food to be grown all year round! 🌱✨ This hands-on project teaches science, sustainability, and patience, while showing just how rewarding it is to grow your own produce. 🌈

We had llamas visiting the Centre! Our young people (& staff!) had an amazing time bonding with these gentle, curious creatures. From fluffy cuddles to big smiles, it was a day filled with laughter, connection, the calming presence of our new woolly friends.🌈

We are working alongside Police Scotland this week. Our young people stepped into the shoes of police officers & crime scene investigators, dressing the part & learning how to assess a scene, gather evidence, & work as a team to solve a mystery. 🌈

Our hallways are getting a makeover! We’ve started painting across the Centre to give our spaces a fresh, welcoming feel. And it’s already making a big difference. Big thanks to our fantastic maintenance team for their hard work bringing colour and care to every corner! 🌈
