Some of the non-traditonals and gone-too-soons who crossed my mind were: Herman Knowings, Raymond Lewis, Len Bias, Ben Wilson, Reggie Lewis, Earl Manigault, Hank Gathers & Joe Hammond.

There are surprisingly few great point guards who have left us. I didn't spend too much time thinking about the really early guys like Al Cervi, Bob Davies & Slater Martin, and most of the best more modern floor generals are still with us. My 12-man roster might also be light in

long-range shooting, but competitive fire and defensive versatility shouldn't be a problem. Rotating Wilt, Russell & Moses down low, sometimes two in tandem, would be a handful for KAJ, Shaq, Dream, and whoever else the Living All-Stars put on the court.

DJ has been effective against guys like Isiah and Magic, and he wouldn't be overwhelmed by any opposite number, whether Clyde, Steph, or somebody else. Kobe vs. MJ is close to a wash. LBJ/Bird/Durant/Dr J will have an edge, but there are no pushovers among the forwards they'll

line up against.

I give the series to the Living, 4-2, but that 6th game is a double OT thriller that comes down to Sam Jones hitting a leaner to give his squad the lead with :01.6 on the clock only to watch Bird drain an impossible 3 over a double team as the buzzer sounds.
