🌍 Happy #EarthDay! This year's theme, "Our Power, Our Planet," is a call to action—reminding us that we all have a role to play in protecting the planet we call home, which includes the Great Lakes, the largest freshwater system in the world.💧

Our #LakebyLake series is here! First stop: Lake Ontario. 🌊 Since 2020, we’ve removed over 120K pieces of plastic, averaging ~210 pieces per day—the highest daily average of any of the five Great Lakes. 🔎Top three items removed: small foam, small hard fragments, and pellets.

Can you spot the plastic pollution in this picture? 🔍 Recreational gear like fishing line found in the environment can harm wildlife through entanglement or ingestion. 🎣 Collect/properly dispose of fishing and hunting debris if you see it and opt for reusable items if possible!
