Discover the transformative power of adaptive reuse @TonsleySA. Once a Mitsubishi factory, now a vibrant hub for innovation. Philipp Dautel highlighted that repurposing the Main Assembly Building prevented a loss of approximately 90,000 tons of Co2.

To advance sustainability @TonsleySA 90% of the Main Assembly Building's original steel structure was preserved. Previously home to Mitsubishi Motors USA the government, it retained its concrete and steel. A testament to the power of heritage preservation and sustainable urban development.

At a recent Network session on “Innovation Districts & Sustainability,” Chunga Cha presented a groundbreaking construction plan to be completed in just 1.5 yrs. Their holistic strategy emphasized human-centered design, managing water & waste, clean air, & local development.

We are thrilled to announce the culmination of the 2022–2024 GIID Global Network Program. After 2 years of dedicated research and collaborative peer-learning sessions, 22 innovation districts from 15 different countries have successfully completed this journey. Date: April 11th
