Discover the transformative power of adaptive reuse Tonsley. Once a Mitsubishi factory, now a vibrant hub for innovation. Philipp Dautel highlighted that repurposing the Main Assembly Building prevented a loss of approximately 90,000 tons of Co2.

To advance sustainability Tonsley 90% of the Main Assembly Building's original steel structure was preserved. Previously home to Mitsubishi Motors USA the government, it retained its concrete and steel. A testament to the power of heritage preservation and sustainable urban development.

Leaders from Tonsley shared insights at the GIID Global Network, highlighting Australia's largest hydrogen plant. Philipp Dautel delved into Hydrogen Park SA, powering nearly 4,000 homes and businesses with blended hydrogen. Engaging discussions on key actions #Sustainability.

At a recent Network session on “Innovation Districts & Sustainability,” Chunga Cha presented a groundbreaking construction plan to be completed in just 1.5 yrs. Their holistic strategy emphasized human-centered design, managing water & waste, clean air, & local development.

We are thrilled to announce the culmination of the 2022–2024 GIID Global Network Program. After 2 years of dedicated research and collaborative peer-learning sessions, 22 innovation districts from 15 different countries have successfully completed this journey. Date: April 11th
