This week, a man shot and killed his wife and three of their children in Oklahoma City before turning the gun on himself. The OKC Police Sgt. said they “all died violently.”

NEW: Despite opposition from thousands of Tennesseans, state leaders just passed a bill to arm teachers.

Since the Covenant school shooting, lawmakers have done nothing to stop guns from falling into dangerous hands. This bill puts students at more risk.

Six years ago today, a gunman killed four people and injured four others at a Waffle House in Nashville, Tennessee.

The shooter was prohibited from having a gun, but our weak gun laws failed to stop him from getting one.

25 years since the Columbine shooting, a tragedy that shaped a generation. Today reinforces my resolve to fight for a future where gun violence doesn't steal away the people we love. We remember, we mourn, and we continue to turn our pain into action.

Last night, Gabrielle Giffords joined survivors and advocates for a vigil reflecting on the lives lost and the ones that were forever changed 25 years ago at Columbine High School.

25 years ago today, 13 people were shot and killed and 21 others were wounded at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado.

For the generation of young people who have grown up since that horrific tragedy, gun violence is still their reality. It’s beyond time to change that.

With tomorrow marking 25 years since Columbine, we are thrilled to see the White House announce a new protocol for responding to mass shootings and surges in community gun violence.

Our government helps with recalls of defective products all the time.

But guns that discharge on their own—without warning or pulling the trigger—are still in circulation because the gun industry lobbied their way out of regulation.

We’re all less safe because of it.

In the 25 years since the shooting at Columbine High School, hundreds of thousands of students have experienced gun violence at school.

Schools should be places of learning—not of carnage.

NEW: The Nevada Supreme Court upheld the state's ghost gun law, effectively prohibiting sales nationwide from Nevada-based Polymer80, the largest supplier of ghost guns in the United States.

School shootings and lockdown drills should not be the reality our children are forced to live in.

But 25 years after Columbine, gun violence has traumatized an entire generation of young people. We must elect more leaders who will put our kids before the gun lobby.
