Why do I immediately know, without knowing, that Parent’s Voice BC is a party of transphobic, racist Trump wannabes?

I’d like to bring my 14 y/o to a conference I’m attending in Washington DC. We’d do sightseeing in the off time. #AcademicTwitter #momademia is this a good idea? Any advice?
