Tonight’s Guilford Co. Schools All-County Band was a success! Thank you to our guest clinicians: Eugene Mabry from WS/FCS Arts Education, our very own Jeremy Ray from Grimsley High School and Aaron Campbell from North Carolina A&T. A special commission tribute to the late Mr. Charles L. Butler was performed.

Thanks to a Lyceum grant, Morehead Elementary School Stars dance students participated in a three-class residency with Jurne Smith of Theatre of Movement to learn about their Juneteenth project. Students worked together to create dance phrases using what they learned.

It’s the first day of Opera at the Carolina Carolina Theatre GSO Greensboro Opera Guilford Co. Schools ! Busses will be rolling in soon for the first performance of Wyatt’s The Songbird’s Song. His story was based off something that “sounds nice”. His favorite part so far - watching rehearsal.

Morehead Elementary School Stars 5th grade dance students participate in a dance film project inspired by African Folklore! This is in partnership with the UNCG Media Studies dept. and funded by an NC Arts Council grant. Students are learning how to integrate technology into dance. Guilford Co. Schools
