This week Dr. Monique Couvson, G4GC President and CEO was honored at the Brooklyn Children's Theatre's 20th Anniversary Gala. We are thrilled that BCT will be developing a musical about Dr. Couvson's book, Charisma's Turn. The Charisma's Turn musical will be opening June 14th!

This week, New Songs Rising Initiative grantee partners and fellows came together to attend the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues. They also had a wonderful lunch meet up in our New York office with G4GC staff.

New Songs Rising Fellows kicked off their first skill-building session with Dr. Twyla Baker Indigenia Foundation (Hidatsa), President of Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College. She shared insights on boundaries, self-assertion, and leveraging personal and community values to be one's best self!

May 5th marks the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit People (MMIWG2S). G4GC honors the work being done by Native communities to raise awareness and bring our missing sisters and siblings home.
