We've recently built a hibernaculum for wildlife in our community orchard - see previous post. If you'd like to build one in your garden or green space here's how to do it! #hibernaculum

Great volunteer day yesterday. Making a dead hedge in the Orchard, edging lawns and painting park benches. There’s lots of benches in the park and we can only do them when the weather is dry. We also painted some new markers for the blue trail.

We had a fantastic Easter Egg Trail yesterday with around 200 children taking part! The sun shone and people brought picnics. Thanks to everyone who participated. Thanks to Waymaster Games Ltd for providing games and to all our wonderful volunteers who helped make it a success

An amazing day at our plant sale yesterday. The sun shone, the people came and there was ‘dogwood weaving' to make plant supports. Thanks also to Miriam from Waymaster Games Ltd for entertaining the children and all the volunteers that made this happen.

Our new sponsors @Gripple worked hard over two days in the orchard and behind Whirlow Brook Hall - clearing a path through the undergrowth to start a 'scramble area' for children. They also took down an old fence in readiness for a new fence to be installed. Thanks guys!

We have a new handrail for those steep steps in the bottom car park, courtesy of Andrew Renwick, Director of Ridgeway Forge Ltd. Andrew kindly donated the handrail and we are very grateful- it looks great and it will hopefully stop any accidents happening in the future.
