Ears almost up

Have you ever had a dog that got his ear bitten by another dog and it fills up with fluid and then your dog is feeling like crap for days that’s what just happened over here and his crappy way of feeling in his panting scared me pretty badly

Forevermore I am now a fan of gabapentin I like that it’s gentle on the system not as hard as the other more heavy duty painkillers I’ve used in the past like carprofen I think it’s called. I doses 150 mg three times a day for about three days.

The easiest way to administer is an a glob of cream cheese. In combination I used an Arnica gel and applied it topically on the skin on the inside, and the outside of the very scary, looking swollen up ear.

It’s been about a week now Logan is his name is acting normally but his ears still doesn’t look like the other one. Is anyone out there have an experience with us if I’m just patient will it eventually start to look more normal it’s not fold it at all, but it just seems odd

Oh, and by the way, for several days, I used a lot of warm compresses about three times a day for 15 minutes sitting with him on the floor, holding the warm washcloth around the whole ear.
