Little Johnny Walker was rescued when he became separated from his mama at just a few days old. Our range partners work their tails off to keep wild horses wild, but step in to rescue and care for them when necessary. AWHC's Foal Rescue Fund donates to the care of these foals.

Reps. Titus, Ciscomani, Cohen, and Schweikert are leading a bipartisan charge for humane wild horse management in the FY25 House Appropriations bill. This effort, supported by nearly 80 representatives, is a clear call for change within the BLM’s Wild Horse and Burro Program.

In 2021, AWHC came across four badly abused burros at a notorious slaughter auction in Oklahoma. We quickly paid the funds needed for their bail, initial vet care costs, and their transport to Montgomery Creek Ranch. Today, Jesse James and Butch Cassidy are thriving. #burrorescue
