A special day in Dorchester as Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭 and Fire Commissioner Paul Burke opened up a newly constructed Firehouse on historic Meetinghouse Hill. At the site they dedicated a memorial for the late Marie Conley a traffic supervisor who lost her life while saving a child.

As governor of Georgia, Jimmy Carter signed Title 25, granting fire fighters in the state the right to collectively bargain with their municipalities. His signature in 1971 gave International Association of Fire Fighters members a better, more secure future today. May he rest in peace.
