Thousands of people on the Fourth Schedule. Plans to set up internment centres. An acceleration in the practice of enforced disappearances & fake encounter killings. The state is turning Balochistan into an open-air prison, & many outside the province seem blissfully unaware.

We condemn the shameful act of Ghazi University. Ghazi University administration has banned the entry of a Baloch student for setting up an admission camp and bookstall. How do educational activities threaten the peaceful environment of the campus?

سیکورٹی فورسز منشیات کے نام پر گرلز ہاسٹلوں میں گھُس کر طالبات کی پروفائلنگ کررہے ہیں۔ آج جامعہ بلوچستان کے گرلز ہاسٹل میں سیکورٹی فورسز نے انٹی نارکوٹکس کے وردی میں آکر صرف بلوچ طالبات کو اکٹھا کرکے ان کی پروفائلنگ کی، طالبات سے غیرضروری و زاتی سوالات کیے اور ان کی ویڈیو بنائی.

ہے۔ سوال یہ ہے کہ منشیات کا گرلز ہاسٹل میں کیا کام؟ اور ہاسٹل میں صرف بلوچ طالبات کو اکٹھا کرکے تفتیش کرنے کا کیا مقصد؟ اس طرح کے حرکت بلوچ طالبات کی پروفائلنگ اور ہراسگی کے واضح مثالیں ہیں جو ناجائز اور غیر قانونی اعمال ہیں۔

Militarization of educational institutions has raised concerns for security of the students in campuses as Law Enforcement Agencies, after their attempt to home in Kharan’s degree college, have entered the girls hostel at University of Balochistan under the guise of Narcotics

On one hand government claims to work on women's education, yet on the other, they’re busy profiling girls' hostels. Truly empowering but only if control and surveillance are part of the syllabus!

The spokesperson of Baloch Students Council Islamabad said that placing the names of Baloch activists in fourth schedule is a matter of grave concerns claiming that the state is trying to legalise its barbarism on Baloch Nation.

After the deployment of the Frontier Corps (FC) in the University of Balochistan, the state has now positioned anti-narcotics forces, furthering racial profiling of students under the guise of narcotics control.

Uniformed women, said to be Anti-Narcotics Force, enter Girls Hostel (University of Balochistan), gather students, ask them to join forces, capture their videos and pictures and go. Was that a career counseling program on selecting forces as a job option? Or a threat to students?

It is very serious. If they had any proof, they could deal with the students accordingly. But gathering the students, asking them irrelevant questions and stressing on joining forces show they had motives other than anti-narcotics concerns. UoB’s involvement is questionable too.

This is d reality of Balochistan where d girls’ hostels are unsafe from d sec forces with diff: pretexts. Today d UoB girls hostel was raided with an arbitrary cast of mind to harass & threaten d Baloch girls. They have asked personnel questions from them.
