Widespread showers and storms increase in coverage beginning late Thursday morning. Heavy rainfall may lead to flooding, especially south of I-20. A strong storm or two is possible. Behind this system, high pressure builds for the weekend. Expect plenty of sunshine and heat!

While there is a low threat for severe storms, flooding is our greatest concern for Thursday. Strongest storms and heaviest rain will likely be south of DFW.

Grapevine Lake is nearly 10 feet above conservation, with many areas flooded! Anyone have pictures of the area? How is everyone else doing?

First the warmth...then the storms
Near 90 today as south winds increase (some extra high clouds)
First showers N&W overnight aren't too much.
Best rain chances arrive PM...some heavy rain (flood risk), quarter hail, 50-60 mph winds in strongest.
Just a few showers linger Friday.

One more shot of storms, before a huge helping of HEAT!
Very warm today, but still quiet. Thursday is unsettled. Some showers AM, but the bulk come PM-eve. Some heavy rain, a few strong-severe (wind, hail risk). Just some showers linger Friday before temps hit 90+ and don't stop!

One more quiet, but very warm day on tap Wednesday ahead of our next disturbance. Widespread heavy rain and some strong to severe storms expected Thursday. North Texas dries out and heats up for the weekend.

Wednesday starts mostly sunny, but clouds and humidity will be on the increase through the day. High temperatures climb to near 90 degrees for much of North Texas.

'PICK' day of the week!
Sunshine, low humidity, light wind and warm temps in the 80s area wide
We stay dry tomorrow, but not heading into Thursday...when higher coverage showers/storms are possible
Don't really need much more water as most lakes are WAY too full after this spring

Here we go. Warming up...with at least SOME storms ahead.
'PICK' day of the week with sun, light winds and low humidity (early fog east). Breezy, very warm & more humid Wednesday. Showers/storms likely Thursday (strong-severe risk) before slowly drying Friday. Weekend turns HOT!

A few thunderstorms continue to move southeast from Greenville up to Paris. Brief heavy rain along with a few lightning strikes will be the main impacts.

Lower humidity briefly returns, with plenty of sunshine Tuesday. The next disturbance brings storms Wednesday night through Thursday. Behind this, we dry out and heat up for the weekend.

Storms remain sub-severe as they head ESE this evening. Stronger storms pose a gusty wind, small hail threat now.

Isolated showers popping up now. Coverage of rain/storms will be relatively low through the evening as the cold front moves through North Texas.
