Another great piece this morning, this time from *those in the construction industry* calling on council to keep polluting gas out of new buildings. Please reconsider your vote, Rebecca Bligh, City Councillor Lenny Zhou 🇨🇦🇺🇦 Sarah Kirby-Yung 楊瑞蘭 Mike Klassen 麥嘉信 🇨🇦. It isn’t too late to do the right thing.
This is great! Dozens of Vancouver construction industry leaders have sent a letter calling on city council to reverse its plan to start allowing natural gas heating in new buildings. Excellent comments from Bryn Davidson @Lanefab & other builders. vancouversun.com/opinion/column… via The Vancouver Sun
Great to see Rebecca Bligh, City Councillor listening to a broad group, including the construction industry, climate advocates, & businesses from tech, restaurants, and others calling on council to reverse this hasty decision to reintroduce gas in buildings. We hope others on council will too.
"Climate change is and will continue to be very expensive, with costs ultimately and unfairly landing on today’s youth." Check out Squamish Cllr Lauren Greenlaw's letter in support of Sue Big Oil to make polluters pay their fair share of climate costs! squamishreporter.com/2024/10/25/why…
It’s quite concerning that with mounting evidence that gas in our homes is dangerous to our health, Vancouver council is reconsidering re-introducing gas in our homes #vanpoli Sarah Kirby-Yung 楊瑞蘭 Lenny Zhou 🇨🇦🇺🇦 Rebecca Bligh, City Councillor Lisa Dominato, City Councillor Pete Fry

Good to see some Coquitlam cllrs get building decarbonization as a win for our climate, our energy bills, and our health. We continue to call for full building electrification in 2025 & to join their neighbours including Burnaby, Port Moody and New West! tricitiesdispatch.com/coquitlam-look…
